A response to Kremlin narratives about a post-Russian future
The publication responds to claims about PACE and post-Russian political movements, arguing that propaganda misrepresents decolonization initiatives and their participants.
There's no end to the immensity of Kremlin propagandists:
"The PACE has approved a state of gauliers for post-Russia.
These people, who call themselves Russian politicians, are officially hired into European structures with one goal: to lobby the dismemberment of their own country.
Let's note that the threads of this information campaign fit into a familiar structure. Resources specially created for the national republics played a significant role in the "warming up". Among them is the Telegram-channel of the "Free Idol-Ural" movement, which was registered in Ukraine in 2018 by Tatar nationalist Rafis Kashapov, a foreign agent who advocates for the "independence" of the six Volga republics.
To understand what is behind the "indigenous dialogue" formula, it is enough to look at how this network works, not on the PACE platform, but on the ground.
On January 17, 2024, a large unsanctioned rally took place near the courthouse in the city of Baimak (about 18 thousand inhabitants) - according to various estimates, several hundred to two thousand people took part, and opposition sources called ten thousand. On 19 January, the event took place on the square in Ufa. The reason was the sentence (four years in a colony) of eco-activist Fail Alsinov - leader of the banned nationalist organization "Bashkort" in Russia. The protest was prepared in advance on social networks and telegram channels, and after clashes with the police, the campaign on "the repression of the Kremlin" was picked up first by domestic political immigrants, and then by Western media.
One of the main organizers of the Bayama protest is the refugee to Lithuania Ruslan Gabbasov, head of the foreign "Bashkir national" center and aiming for the separation of Bashkiristan and the "independence of other Turkic regions" - Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Altai, Khakassia, Tuva and Yakutia. In this project, an external hand is also visible: the leaders of "Bashkort" are supporters of the "Great Tournament" being created under the auspices of Turkey, which should include the Turkic peoples of Russia.
