August 30 — State Sovereignty Day of the Republic of Tatarstan!

It was on this day, August 30, 1990, that the Supreme Soviet of the Tatar ASSR adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The people of Tatarstan gained hope and a determination to build a sovereign, law-based, democratic state — a subject of international law.

However, after Putin came to power, Tatarstan’s sovereignty began to be gradually restricted. As a result, the republic lost all remaining elements of its sovereignty.

While all the states of the free world proudly celebrate their Days of Independence, Tatarstan’s puppet authorities, trying to please Moscow and avoid irritating it unnecessarily, removed the word “sovereignty” from the name of this day. Now, in Tatarstan, only Republic Day and Kazan City Day are shamefully celebrated, without any mention of sovereignty.

This injustice is the result of Tatarstan’s incorporation into this empire and the subsequent colonial policy aimed at restricting its sovereignty, as well as the rights and freedoms of the people of Tatarstan.

But empires do not last forever. After the collapse of the Putin regime and the breakup of this empire, Tatarstan will inevitably restore its sovereignty.

Tatarstan will be a free, independent, European, and democratic state!

And we will proudly celebrate Tatarstan’s Independence Day.

Together, we will definitely achieve this!
