How scientist Vil Mirzayanov first developed, and then exposed, Soviet chemical weapons

Vil Mirzayanov is an honorary advisor of the Government of Independent Tatarstan in Exile, a well-known Tatar scientist-chemist, doctor of chemical sciences, social, political and environmental activist, writer, publicist. 

In 1992, he revealed the existence in the USSR and post-Soviet Russia of a secret program for the development of combat poisonous substances of the "Novichok" family. He published the formulas of some of the "Novichkov" in 2008 in his book "State Secrets: Russia's Chemical Weapons Program from the Inside". In 1992, Mirzayanov published an article in the newspaper "Moscow News" titled "Poisoned Politics", in which he criticized the Russian military-industrial complex and accused the country's highest authorities of violating the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. (Russia ratified the convention on December 5, 1997) Mirzayanov was accused of revealing a state secret and arrested on October 22, 1992. On 3 November, Mirzayanov was released from the Lefort prison on a non-retirement subscription, but in January 1994 he was arrested again, and on 22 February 1994 he was released again. On March 11, 1994, he died. Oh, my God. The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation issued a decree on the termination of the criminal case "in connection with the absence of a crime composition in the actions of Vil Mirzayanov".
After the decision to terminate the criminal case, he engaged in public and political activities, participated in the Tatar national movement, was vice-president of the Tatar public center. 1995 - in February emigrated to the United States as a political refugee. He lives and works in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. He is also engaged in the search for works on the history of Tatars and their translation into Russian and Tatar languages.

2002 - Villa Mirzayanov is banned from entering the Russian Federation. 2002 - in Kazan in the Tatar book publishing house came out the autobiographical book "Challenge" by Vil Mirzayanov.
2003 - found in the extensive library of Princeton University, translated from English into Russian and Tatar languages and published in Kazan the book of the Tatar emigrant-professor of St. Louis University Boris Al Bakri Izhboldin "Oches from the history of Tatars" of 1963, in which the author used family legends of his ancient kind. In the preface to his work, the author explains: "The main purpose of this book is to acquaint readers with the unknown history of the Tatars in English.
2003 - translated from English into Russian and published in Kazan the book of English scientist-historian Edward Parker "A Thousand Years from the History of Tatars". The book was written at the end of the XIX century on the basis of studying ancient Chinese written sources and it consistently traces the thousand-year history of the Tatars from the 1st century. before Christ. Oh, my God. until the 13th century . I 'm not . Oh, my God.
2008 - published his book "State secrets: Russia's chemical weapons program from the inside", in which he published the formulas of some of the combat poisoning substances of the Novichok family from the secret program of the USSR and post-Soviet Russia.
2011 - translated into Russian and published in Kazan the book "The world of the guns" - the classic work of the Austrian specialist on the guns Otto Menchen-Halfen, published in the 1970s. At present, the book remains the most complete and modern monograph on the history of the Huns (hunnu) - the ancestors of modern Tatars.
On his personal website, Mirzayanov published his autobiographical book "The Challenge", as well as publishing his publicist, polemical works and translations.
